Artist Statement: The tropical accent to my work is not coincidental... I was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, and received my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Hawaii. I taught painting in Honolulu's public education system for several years before I decided to devote myself to creating art fulltime. My work has won awards in the Hawaiian Islands and in California, and is included in collections worldwide.

Several of my paintings have been commissioned by the City of Santa Barbara for the city's permanent collection. My graphic designs are licensed nationally as posters and cards, as well as for decoration on tile, ceramics, glassware and fabric. For the past several years I have concentrated on a unique process of my own invention which allows me to create the look of worked and aged copper using only acrylic artists' color on illustration board. The work is three dimensional, in that all the lines you see on your screen are actually raised, but it is presented in a painting format, matted and framed under glass in a shadow box format.
